According to the International Diabetes Federation, these figures should be taken into consideration if you would like to have a healthier waistline that caters to the definition of waist measurements on the global consensus of this federation.

    For Caucasian men, a healthy waistline may have the measurement of around ninety four (94) centimeters or equivalent to about thirty seven (37) inches. For women who are Caucasian, a good measurement would be around eighty (80) centimeters or about thirty one point five inches (31.5).

    Figures for other races or groups may slightly differ from the aforementioned measurements. Those who live in Asia may have a lower requirement of the said measurements; those from Pacific Island may have to follow higher figures for their measurements on the waistlines.

    Other Factors to Consider

    While measurements for the waist may be a considerable factor in making you slim, appealing, and healthy, there are still other important factors that you may have to remember if you wish to take the route to a healthier life with a healthier body.

    This includes your BMR or basal metabolic rate, your dietary intake per day, your possible risk to heart disease and other chronic illnesses, and may also include the ratio of your waist and hip.

    Yes, there are many things to take into consideration. That is why a good dietician and a health instructor may help you with these things. As such, healthy living doesn’t merely end with waist measurements.
