    Previously, saunas are only available via a health club. But that is no longer the case. People can now enjoy the luxury of a home sauna. They just have to consider a couple of different factors, including the size.

    Size Matters

    So, how large is a sauna that is suitable for home use? Well, that depends.

    Saunas come in many different sizes depending on who is going to use it and for how many people you intend to install it. The smallest size comes around at 3 feet by 4 feet while the biggest size could go as far as 8 feet by 10 feet.

    Ideally, sauna kit manufacturers recommend that you allow at least two feet of bench space for each person. So, if you are installing it to fit two, three, or more persons at the same time, you will have to take that into your calculation.

    You can install your sauna practically at any part of the home. There is no limitation whatsoever. The only thing you need to consider is if there is a dedicated electrical circuit, which will be needed to power up the heater. Other than that, you may consider any spare room, cupboard, bathroom, or even the cupboard to be its location.

    Some people choose to install their sauna from scratch. Others find sauna kits or modular sauna packages practical. Why not, the pre-made units are ready to install and use in a few hours.

    You will enjoy your sauna experience best if you know how to use it right.

    The first thing you have to remember is that, you should not enter the facility with a full stomach. A waiting time of about one to two hours or longer after your meal is ideal, depending on how heavy your meal was. While you are inside, your blood is shoved towards your skin. This may interfere with digestion.

    Second, you must drink up at least eight ounces of water before entering. Sweating may cause dehydration and you must prepare yourself for losing water.

    Third, wear appropriate attire. When it comes to clothes or covering up, it depends on the person. Some people like to wear shorts, some would like to enter with just a towel, still, some like going naked. In case of accessories, drop them. You would not want jewelry burning your skin as soon as the temperature heats up.
