    How Bodyboards are Measured

Most bodyboard measurements are set in inches. The dimensions and parts to look at are the length, width, board thickness, rocker and the nose.

The length is gauged from the tail to the nose. Aside from your physical size, the waves you intend to ride on will affect your choice of bodyboard length. The width given in bodyboards refers to the widest point (rail to rail). Thicknesss is measured from top to bottom. The rocker is the bottom curve and the nose is the tip.

Beginner or seasoned pro, choosing the correct bodyboard size is a must. With the right dimensions, you can ride and make waves.
