    It isn’t easy to determine the biggest selling DVD of all time because stores and websites each have their own list. To give you an idea, here are some examples. Other sites will have other lists though.

    Number one is Finding Nemo, 2003 with 28 million copies sold. Number two is Shrek 2. This movie came out in 2004 and has sold 20.2 million copies so far. The top selling TV DVD is Seinfield with 4 million copies.

    Number one is the Simpsons (first season) with 2.35 million copies. Next is the first volume of Family Guy with 1.71 million copies. The Simpson’s second season is third with 1.65 million. Chappelle’s Show first season has sold 1.61 million. The first season of Sex and the City sold 1.22 million. The Simpsons’ third season DVD has sold 1.30 million.

    Sex and the City season 2 has sold 1.21 million copies. The Sopranos’ season 1 is number eight with 1.13 million. Number 9 is Family Guy second volume with 1.12 million. Number ten is Friends season 1 with 1.10 million.

    The biggest selling DVD on their list is the Lord of the Rings – The Fellowship of the Ring. At number two is Lord of the Rings – The Two Towers. The third spot is occupied by Lord of the Rings – The Return of the King. At number four is the Star Wars Trilogy. Number five is the Matrix. At the sixth spot is Finding Nemo.

    At the seventh spot is Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. At the eighth spot is Pirates of the Caribbean – the Curse of the Black Pearl. At the ninth spot is Gladiator and at number ten is Shrek.

    Number 11 is Star Wars – Episode I, The Phantom Menace.

    At the 12th spot is the Adventures of Indiana Jones (Raiders of the Lost Ark/The Temple of Doom/The Last Crusade). Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is at the 13th spot. At number 14 is Saving Private Ryan. The 15th spot is held by Sex and the City – the Complete First Season.

    Number 16 Amazon’s biggest selling DVD list is Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Monsters, Inc is at 17th place. The 18th place is held by Star Wars – Episode II, Attack of the Clones.
